Initiatives for Swat Displaced Individuals

:: Sport Activities
We have initiated a sports program that provides uniforms and kit for various competitive sports activities such as football and cricket

:: Installed Tandoors
We have installed 13 Tandoors at 6 different camps Hired people from within the camps (on daily wages of Rs. 500/ day, paid by KRO). Producing 45000 nans per day.

:: Tailoring Centers
We have setup tailoring centers at the camps for men and women complete with electricity, fans and generously donated clothing material. Each of the tailors at the center (70% women) is hired on daily wages (paid by KRO) from within. The camp residents produce over 500 suites per day.

:: Distribution of Milk & Juices
We have supplied refrigerated trucks that supply 8000 milk and juice packs/day to the camp residents who have children.

:: Provide Camps
Old Sawabi Police station building has been rented to provide an alternative shelter. We are presently housing 150 - 200 people from the camps in this building which provides full kitchen and food along with better living and sanitary conditions
